Stavenow lies almost exactly mid-way between the old port city of Hamburg in the north-west and the "new" capital, Berlin, close to the Polish border in the east. Flight times from London are approximately 1 hour, 20 minutes and 1 hour 30 minutes, respectively. Onward journey times by road and rail are approximately 2 hours from either city.

Follow signs for the A24 Autobahn (motorway), direction Hamburg. Take the exit for Putlitz and follow signs for Karstädt. Karstädt is approximately 20km from Putlitz.
Follow signs for the A24 Autobahn (motorway), direction Berlin. At the Schwerin junction change to the A 14 direction Ludwigslust. Follow the signs on A 14 / B5 for Perleberg. Take the Karstädt exit, 2km to Stavenow.
Follow signs for Mankmuß. Drive through the village of Stavenow and continue to the end of the avenue of linden trees, then turn right onto a dirt track. Turn left where the track turns right, drive over the bridge and you've arrived. Stavenow is about 5km from Karstädt.
